Monitoring reviews & themes
Subscribe a product to daily review monitoring and let Lumai AI group incoming reviews into themes and sentiment, so you can see what customers praise, what they complain about, and where the gaps are.
Why monitor reviews
Reviews are the clearest signal of what customers actually love and hate about a product — yours or a competitor’s. Review monitoring pulls in reviews on a daily basis and uses Lumai AI to group them into themes and sentiment so you don’t have to read hundreds of them by hand. It’s where you find the differentiation angle for a new listing and the early warning that an existing one is slipping.
Start monitoring a product
- Open Competitive Intelligence → Review monitoring (or the Reviews tool).
- Enter the ASIN you want to monitor and give it an optional label so it’s easy to recognize later.
- Start monitoring. We begin pulling that product’s reviews on a daily cadence and analyzing each batch.
- Open the product’s summary anytime to read the latest themes, sentiment split, and the standout praise and complaints.
To stop, unsubscribe the ASIN from the same screen — it frees up a monitoring slot for another product.
What the analysis shows
For each monitored product, Lumai AI reads the actual review text — it summarizes what customers wrote, it doesn’t invent feedback. You get:
- Sentiment split — the share of positive, neutral, and negative reviews, so you can see overall direction at a glance
- Top themes — the most-mentioned topics (quality, shipping, value, size, packaging, features, durability, and similar) with how often each comes up
- Top praise — the things customers consistently call out as good
- Top complaints — the recurring problems, which are exactly the gaps a competing product can win on
Read the complaint themes as your opportunity list: a frequent gripe about, say, flimsy packaging or confusing sizing is a feature you can fix in your own listing and call out in your copy.
Plans and limits
Get more from it
- Monitor a top competitor before you launch — their complaint themes are your differentiation brief.
- Monitor your own product after launch — a new complaint theme appearing is an early warning to act on before your rating drops.
- Pair it with the Tracker: a falling rating in your BSR history plus a fresh negative theme tells you what changed and why.
- Feed the praise themes into Listing Studio so your copy leans on what customers already value.
