Cookie Policy
What LumaiScope stores in your browser, and why.
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LumaiScope, Inc. ("LumaiScope", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you use our product-research platform. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle the rest of your data.
The short version: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and the service secure, and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies to understand traffic and measure our marketing. You can accept or reject the non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognize your browser on later requests, for example, to remember that you are signed in instead of asking you to log in on every page. Related technologies such as local storage and session storage work in a similar way and are covered by this policy where we use them.
Cookies are commonly grouped by purpose. "Essential" (also called strictly necessary) cookies make core features work, including authentication, security, and reliability. "Analytics" cookies help us understand how the site is used. "Advertising" cookies measure our marketing and help us reach the right audiences. LumaiScope always uses essential cookies, and uses analytics and advertising cookies only where you have consented.
Cookies LumaiScope uses
We use essential cookies at all times, plus analytics and advertising cookies where you have consented. They fall into these categories:
- Authentication and session: set by our identity provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in to your account as you move between pages and to maintain a secure session. Without these you cannot stay logged in.
- Security: used to protect your account and the service, including guarding against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and detecting abusive or fraudulent activity.
- Reliability and load balancing: used to route your requests to a healthy server and keep the application responsive.
- Analytics (only with your consent): set by Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- Advertising and measurement (only with your consent): set by the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the TikTok Pixel to measure our advertising and reach relevant audiences. We may share conversion events such as sign-ups and subscriptions with these partners, including a hashed version of your email so the event can be matched.
Your cookie choices
Under privacy and e-privacy rules, consent is required before setting non-essential cookies, meaning the analytics and advertising kind. Cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for are exempt from that consent requirement.
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner so you can choose. In the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept (opt-in). Everywhere else, they are on by default and you can reject them at any time (opt-out). You can reopen the banner and change your choice whenever you like through the Cookie preferences link in our footer.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You remain in control of cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view stored cookies, delete them, and block cookies from specific sites or all sites. Look under Settings → Privacy (or Privacy and security) in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
