Cancel or pause your subscription
How to cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal, what happens to your access until the period ends, how to undo a pending cancellation, and the truth about pausing.
Cancel your subscription
- Open Settings → Billing in the dashboard.
- Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Choose Cancel plan and confirm.
- You'll return to Settings, where your status now shows as canceling.
Canceling does NOT cut you off immediately. You keep all paid features until the end of the current billing period — you've already paid for it. At the period end your account drops to the Free tier automatically.
What happens to your data
- Your account isn't deleted — you move down to Free, not gone.
- Saved tracked products, watchlists, pipelines, and history remain in your account.
- Anything above Free's limits becomes read-only or paused (for example, daily BSR tracking stops once you're past the Free cap).
- Resubscribe anytime and your data picks back up at the new tier's limits.
Changed your mind? Resume
If you've cancelled but the billing period hasn't ended yet, you can undo it and keep your existing schedule — no new checkout.
- Go to Settings → Billing while your status still shows canceling.
- Choose Resume subscription.
- Your plan returns to active on the same billing date you already had.
Resume only works during the canceling window — before the period actually ends. Once the period elapses the subscription closes, and to come back you'll resubscribe fresh from the plan cards.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
There isn't a self-serve pause button in LumaiScope today — the two options you control are changing tiers and cancelling. If you want to step away for a stretch without losing your setup, the practical move is to cancel (you keep access through the paid period, then drop to Free with your data intact) and resubscribe when you're ready. If a true pause would genuinely help your situation, email support and we'll see what we can do.
