AI usage limits & your monthly budget
Most AI features draw on a monthly allowance tied to your plan. Here's how the budget works, how to see what's left, and what to do when you run low.
How the budget works
AI-powered actions — running a Product Validator verdict, generating a listing in Listing Studio, asking the Copilot a question, and similar — draw on a monthly allowance tied to your plan. Each plan includes a set amount of AI usage, and most limits are monthly: they reset at the start of each billing month.
Plans scale roughly like this. Free is a starter tier — for example, 2 validations and 1 AI listing per month — so you can try the product (it doesn't expire). Starter ($14) adds tracking and sourcing. Growth ($29) adds competitive intelligence and AI automation. Pro ($49) is unlimited and includes the War Room, Business Health Score, and Reimbursement Scanner.
Checking what you've used
- Open Settings → Billing to see your current plan and what's included.
- Watch for the usage indicator on AI features — when you're close to a limit, LumaiScope shows how many runs you have left for the month.
- If an AI action is blocked, the message will tell you which limit you've hit and when it resets.
Usage is tracked per calendar month and resets automatically — you don't need to do anything to get your allowance back at the start of the next month.
When you hit a limit
If you reach your monthly AI allowance, you have two options:
- Wait for the reset — your limits refresh at the start of your next billing month.
- Upgrade your plan to get a higher allowance immediately. For existing subscribers, upgrades happen in-app and Stripe pro-rates the difference on your next invoice — there's no second checkout.
An upgrade takes effect right away, so your higher AI allowance is available as soon as the change goes through.
Getting the most from your allowance
- Validate before you generate — confirm a product is worth pursuing before spending an AI listing run on it.
- Re-use results. A verdict or listing you've already generated stays in your history; you don't need to re-run it to look at it again.
- Batch your research. Pull together the products you want to check, then run them in one sitting so you're not nibbling at the budget across the month.
- On higher plans, lean on automation features so the AI works on a schedule instead of being triggered ad hoc.
